Halon and Refrigerant Services works with the gases that other people would rather not have standing in the corner: industrial gases made and supplied to order, and halons and refrigerants taken out of systems, identified and dealt with to the end.
Regulated material is the trade, not a sideline
Halons were fitted in fire-suppression systems across British industry for decades and still turn up in plant rooms, ships and buildings being stripped out. Refrigerants come out of chillers, cold stores and process plant. Both are controlled substances in the United Kingdom, so both arrive with rules attached about who may hold them, how they move and what has to be recorded.
That is what the company is set up for. Alongside it we manufacture and supply industrial gases, and carry out the technical testing and analysis that usually has to come first — a label describes what went into a vessel at some point in the past, which is not always what is in it now.
The remediation and waste side picks the job up at the other end: describing the material accurately, passing it to somebody entitled to receive it, and producing the records that prove where it went. The people we deal with are contractors, plant operators, facilities managers and site owners, usually at the point where a cylinder or a charge has become somebody’s problem.

What it is or is thought to be, how much of it there is, and what it is sitting in. Photographs of the container and its label do most of the work.

Which rules apply to that substance and that movement, and whether it has to be analysed before anything else is decided.
The scope is set out
What will be done, what it depends on, what you need to provide, and what documentation comes back with it.
The work is carried out
The material is handled, moved and accounted for, and the records that go with it are issued to you.
